Raceway Operation

Postby JimHT » Wed May 06, 2020 10:20 am

The Mall has opened the Upper Level, sort of.
I still can't open.
The Governor's current rules definitely apply to me and might change after the 18th, we'll see.
I'm definitely an interactive play area. LOL.

"Retailers and Malls
Malls and retailers across Texas can reopen but must keep capacity limited to 25%. But for rural counties with five or less confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, retailers can serve up to 50% of their regular capacity.

Areas including food court dining space, play areas and interactive displays must remain closed."

"Shopping malls that operate at up to 25 percent of the total listed occupancy of the shopping mall; provided, however, that within shopping malls, the food-court dining areas, play areas, and interactive displays and settings must remain closed."

This directive runs to May 19. If it changes to allow me to open, I will open. That's all I got. On the other hand, I've not been bothered by a free 2 month trial of retirement. LOL

Yeah, retirement is a nice gig though the pay's not the best.

Hope to see you soon.

I was reading the rule and I define a “play area” as a children’s play area something like McDonalds type play areas for kids. The other part of the rule reads “Interactive DISPLAY area” NOT interactive “Play” area. I think you interpreted or read it wrong. I don’t think you are a “display” area.

An interactive display is a mounted device that enables users to make vibrant visual presentations and control on-screen data through digital touchscreen interactions.
This is the definition.

Hope all is well, Jim, Scott and others! After some time away, I will be coming back soon once this Covid stuff starts to cool off. Can't wait to get back to racing.
