  • Rule change wish list for 2022

OK, starting a rule change wish list here for 2022. If you have any suggestions, please post them here because it's the only place I'll be looking. If you have trouble posting, email me at aquavelvisjst@gmail.com

I'm taking suggestions through December 31. Any suggested changes that I agree to will be added here below the row of ************.

    Thanks

    ************

Here's the current working list of changes that will be in place:

    LMP
    - Rear axle uprights may be ground to allow use of full-sized bushings in dropping the rear axle height. (Note: only grinding will be permitted to allow for this. The tops of the uprights may not be cut/removed.

    GTP
    - The Chicagoland Stage 6 motor will be added as a legal motor.

Just a heads-up: I'm planning to drop the tape-sealed ProSlot FK motors from the LMP-legal motor list. No guarantees but if you want to keep these motors on the list let me know.
    Thanks

Another heads-up: I'm gonna drop a lot of the bodies from both the LMP and GTP lists, primarily to simplify ordering by the shops. However, older bodies that were on the lists through 2021 will be grandfathered in for 2022 (UPDATE Dec. 31) only for Races 1-3. They will not be legal starting with Race 4.

More out with the old, this time in respect to motors:

First, as noted in post #2 above, the Pro Slot FK is out for LMP, effective with Race 1

Second, the following motors will only be legal through Race 3:

          LMP
          JK: Retro Hawk
          Mid-America: Retro Eagle

          GTP
Pro Slot: Euro MK-1, MK-1 Puppy Dog, Euro 12, Euro MK-1 X-12, Raptor Euro MK-1

It would be nice to add the 70,000 RPM B-52 motor. The B-52 motors have been reliable & available. The B-52 motor has been the preferred motor for NASCARS here since they came out.

Can you give me a part number? Also, how do shops order them?

UPDATE: Found the 70K B52 motor at ERI and will add it to the GTP list.
