Weekly Racing at Magnatech!! Short-term

The next races will be on New Year's Eve, Saturday, December 31, so plan on coming to the track with your slot car stuff to help ring in the New Year.

Race 1 at 3 PM: This will be a breakout race as the last two Saturdays but with some changes:

• Breakout time will be raised to 6.5 seconds.
• It will not be LMP based (but you can race an LMP car if you want to). Instead, it will be an old-school "run what you brung" race with these exceptions: 1) no traction magnets, 2) no wing car bodies, 3) no GTP bodies.
• So, race a homemade play car, a vintage car, a Womp car, a modern LMP car...whatever. Just bear in mind that if you're too fast you could lose a lot of laps with a 6.5 breakout time.

Race 2: will be right after the completion of Race 1.

• Scale Series LMP cars.

Note that there are no plans for organized racing on Christmas Eve, but Jim could change that if enough slot-car crazies happen to be in the shop at the same time, so maybe check it out.
